CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS WEEK!!!!
What is something that you are afraid to say? Doesn't make any difference what the reason is behind the fear. Suck it up and say it!
Every day of my coaching life I encounter individuals who have something important to say or ask, and they don't.
Very few people can actually read minds (not sure that anyone can ...), so we must share what we are thinking.
This isn't a license to turn off all the filters between your brain and your mouth because we all know people who say things they shouldn't.
I'm talking about things like:
* Does your boss know what would motivate you?
* Does your spouse know that you feel neglected at times?
* Do your kids know that you really would enjoy a phone call instead of an email or text?
* Does your co-worker know that you are struggling with a certain process?
* Does the server know that your meat was undercooked?
* Does your teacher know that you don't understand what they are talking about?
* Who needs to hear you say I'm sorry?
* Who needs to know you forgive them?
* Who needs to hear you say you are frustrated?
* Who needs to hear you say you are excited for them?
* Who needs to know you are confused or lost or uninspired?
* Who could help you if you just asked them?
* Who could help you find a new job?
* Who could be your workout partner?
* Who could be your accountability partner, if you just asked?
* Who would you like to get to know better, but you are afraid to let them know it?
***********************************************************************************
Good things come to those who speak up. The greatest opportunity to be a leader is in your own life. It has nothing to do with a title or salary or authority. You are in charge of your own life. No one can know what you think or want or need or appreciate if you don't tell them.
PLEASE TAKE THE CHALLENGE THIS WEEK AND SAY SOMETHING THAT TAKES A BIT OF COURAGE
