What do you hear in the silence?

If you were to take a picture of silence, what would it look like?

Silent Listening

Silent Listening

I was reminded today of how challenging it can be for many of us to tolerate silence - much less create it or embrace it. One of my favorite authors, Susan Scott (Fierce Conversations) suggests that it is in silence that the real conversation happens and I believe it.

When I can fight my urge to fill up the empty space, amazing things often happen. This week I simply want to share a resource that speak to silence (no pun intended) much better than I can ... and challenge you to at least think about the powerful question I pose here ... maybe even grab your camera and take pictures of silence. There is learning in this exercise - I promise you!
